Being Planted | Yeilds Patience
Hey Ladies! It has been a while since I have posted on here but I wanted to stop by and chat about the concept of waiting. In this season, I have been learning to be like the seed planted in fertile soil. I can tend to grow impatience with the mundane aspects of life. I see myself feeling ready to bloom. Does a seed know when it is time to bloom? It can tend to be difficult to trust a process that God is doing because I can not see it. This is where faith comes in. Patience is preparedness in anticipation of a present coming opportunity.
James 1:4-8
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
I know I am not alone in feeling like seeds being planted on the soil of life enduring the rain, worms, heat, and pressure in trying to grow. As the image shows, think of yourself as the seed, the hand is the LORD and the soil is where you planted. God is the Sower who is planting us in the soils that need a plant like you to bear fruit. Consistently being prepared by the Holy Spirit without anxiety.
Growth does not stop when a plant reaches full bloom it continues and goes through cycles of being replenished. God is the farmer who sustains the plant.
How are you allowing God to sustain you?
Wow. 🔥 Thank you for this word! 🙏🏾
