The Cost of Worry

Luke 4:8

And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’

Proverbs 16:3

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

The Word of God teaches us to write the vision, count the cost and commit everything to the Lord. Suppose one of you wants to build a house. Wouldn't you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? The issue of worrying about many things is that it can bring a snare into our life. When we worry, we can misinterpret the situation and brings problematic dilemmas. When you feel the worries of life creep in Yield! We must come to focus on one thing in the Lord.

To yeild means: to surrender or relinquish to the physical control of another hand over possession of

In the yielding , we say to God; I trust, believe and know in you.  We are informing ourselves with the reality of who we understand God is. Keeping this in mind we must be careful when we worry because we are taking away from our purpose when we worry about circumstances God already is in control.

What are you risking in your life for the cost of worry?

  1. Philippians 4:6

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Sometimes us humans bring even if we pray and sometimes we don’t see nothing happening we still worry so I was wondering is it because our faith is shaking or because we don’t have a spiritual eye???

    1. Thank you for commenting! I believe worry can come up for many reasons; a lack of faith, fear, insecurities, and etc... It is an aspect of self-denial whenever we choose to focus on the Lord instead of worry. We look before us unto the King of Glory, who won the battle for your soul!

      Hebrews 12:1-2
12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
