The Seasons Change
Psalm 73: 26
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Perceptual discipline. Not just in an activity or practice, which are how we are accustomed to thinking of discipline, but rather perception. Being disciplined in perception is being immediately accountable for and in control of the thoughts we create after being exposed to any circumstance for the first time. That is a degree of self-accountability that goes beyond anything we have ever been taught, and it will help us have experiences that are richer than any we have had before.
Discipline in perception allows us to choose how the uncontrolled impacts us by reshaping our past and revitalizing our present.
Don't rely on your circumstance changing. Rely on you changing because that’s one of the responsibility of being good stewards of the life God has given us.
Even if _______ doesn't change, I will be okay.
What are some situations that you can place in the blank above?
As you think upon this, pray and see how you can allow the Lord to take control of that circumstance.
