A Covenant Keeper: Being kept by God!
Being Kept by God; being a covenant keeper in a world that often drifts from God’s promises can feel challenging, but Scripture is filled with encouragement for those who remain faithful. As you walk in obedience, remember that God, the ultimate Covenant Keeper, holds you securely in His care.
1. God Honors His Covenants
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.” – Deuteronomy 7:9
God’s faithfulness is unwavering. When you uphold your part of the covenant, you can trust that He will fulfill His promises to protect, guide, and sustain you.
2. God Is Your Keeper
“The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.” – Psalm 121:5-7
As you honor your covenant relationship with Him, God becomes your keeper, shielding you from harm and ensuring that your life is in His hands.
3. Jesus, the Perfect Covenant Keeper
"This cup, poured out for you, represents the new covenant in my blood." – Luke 22:20
Jesus established a new covenant through His sacrifice. His faithfulness empowers us to walk as covenant keepers, knowing we are covered by His grace and held in His love.
4. Strength in the Holy Spirit
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.” – John 14:16
God’s Spirit within you enables you to keep your covenant with Him, providing the strength and wisdom needed to remain faithful.
5. Assurance of Being Kept Until the End
“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy.” – Jude 1:24
God not only keeps you in the present but promises to hold you until the end, ensuring your ultimate victory in Him.
Let this truth inspire you: You are kept by the Keeper of all things, and His faithfulness will never fail.
