God’s Grace Carried Us Through

Grace Goes Before Us into the Unknown

Scripture: Joshua 3:3–4, 13

As Israel stood before the Jordan River at flood stage, God did not remove the obstacle first—He asked them to step forward in faith. The priests carrying the Ark had to place their feet in the water before it parted.

This reminds us that God’s grace often moves ahead of our understanding. In 2026, many steps were taken without full clarity—but God’s presence went before us, making a way where none seemed possible.

“You have not passed this way before.” (Joshua 3:4)

We don’t need to know the whole path when we trust the One who leads it.

Grace Sustains Us in the Middle of the Trial

Scripture: Joshua 3:15–17

The Jordan did not dry up halfway—the waters stood back only after obedience. The priests stood on dry ground in the middle of the river while the people crossed.

This mirrors our lives: God’s grace doesn’t always rush us out of difficulty, but it holds us steady while we walk through it.

Jesus reminds us of this truth:

“In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

God’s grace is not just for the destination—it sustains us right in the tension.

Grace Leaves a Testimony for the Future

Scripture: Joshua 3:17; Joshua 4:6–7 (context)

Israel didn’t just cross—they crossed with a witness. Their journey became a testimony of God’s power, faithfulness, and grace for future generations.

The trials did not defeat us—they revealed God. What once felt overwhelming now stands as proof that God carried us through.

“So that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty.” (Joshua 4:24)

What God brings us through becomes a reminder that He will do it again.
