Preparing for the Reality of Life

Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths.

Is it better when dealing with life to prepare for the worst but expect the best?

Sometimes I can be over-optimistic or over-pessimistic when I am dealing with things in my life.

What is the best framework to hold?

In this season I’ve been faced with many new realities that I did not prepare for. I know that sometimes having to think about the real struggles and hurdles can make doing things seem daunting, so we assume ignoring or partial awareness could seem like the best option. Is it? For me I find myself getting the wrong perspective of what I expected.

Good things in this life that reflects godliness will take time. Anything you pursue will take patience and consistency to grow in the way that it can flourish.

Rushing can be an indication of the inadequacy that we may feel is compensation for the abilities we may lack.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

What does God's Word say about this?

What does this truth mean going forward?

How are you preparing for certain realities of your life?
